After 4 weeks of high-octane action, our Group Stage for Season 2 of the Free Fire Pro Series comes to an end. We saw 12 jam-packed game days for 72 total games with plenty of huge plays, major upsets, and the all-important Booyahs from our North American squads. The top teams had one final week to cement their spot in the finals, while others were forced to put it all on the line to avoid elimination from the tournament. As a final reminder, the top 8 squads in the overall standings qualify directly to the finals, the 9th thru 20th placed teams will move to the Last Chance Qualifier, and the bottom 4 teams will be eliminated. With that being said, let’s find out how the teams did!
Pisar Esports continued their reign over the FFPS in Week 4, marking the fourth week in a row where they finished in the first place spot. Though it wasn’t easy, and 2nd place was certainly within striking distance, after two wins on the last week and a final kill count of 285, Pisar may already have their eyes on the crown in the finals. Adiel also reclaimed the kill leader status with 94 kills, the extra-sweet cherry on top of Pisar’s already delicious Group Stage pie.
Fuego did not disappoint with a strong finish in Week 4. Though it was their most Booyah-barren week yet, they still bring their final Booyah count to 10, finishing with the most total wins in the Group Stage. If anyone was going to bring the heat to Pisar’s reign, it will certainly be this fiery four-stack.
To round out the top 3 we have a squad with the number 9 in their name, but maybe not the one you may expect. Team 999 was the team to beat in Week 4, with a stellar ascent to the 3rd place spot from 6th. The highest score of the week with 98 points, and the team with the highest single-game score in the tournament of 37 points, expect Mr. T and the rest of this Open Qualifier squad to make huge waves in the Grand Final.
There are plenty of other squads that will be joining us in the Grand Finals, including some teams from the Last Chance Qualifier going down this weekend on March 26th and 27th. The two-day gauntlet will be played live on Twitch and YouTube starting at 6 PM EST. Keep an eye out on the NA Free Fire Twitter for the Last Chance Qualifier team announcement, and definitely do not miss the Last Chance Qualifier!
